Our mission is to advocate for safe, stable, and life-affirming housing for all.
About Us


We are comprised of non-profits, government agencies, churches, businesses and citizens all interested in assisting the needs of the homeless population.

Each year, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires communities to do a point in time count of homeless individuals. Youthworks staff, interns, and youth advisory board members covered the community of Bismarck from 3 am to 5 am on January 23rd to identify homeless people.

Rachel Monge from the Great Plains Food Bank joined them in the project that was coordinated by the Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People, Inc. Tanya Smith and Leann from Salvation Army covered locations in Mandan at the same time, while other volunteers from the Coalition will be making contacts during the daytime.

    • Screening of local documentary Home with a panel discussion following the screening.

    • Volunteers will stand outdoors with signs and donations will be gathered.

    • Attendees with walk to bring awareness to homelessness
